CONGRATULATIONS TO STAFF PARENTS/GUARDIANS AND MOST OF ALL, STUDENTS FOR BRINGING IN FROM OUR 2009 STAR TESTING AN AWESOME API (academic performance index) SCORE OF 856!! WE'VE ALSO MET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR AYP (adequate yearly progress) status!! Gooooooo HAWKS!!! This wonderful news continues to confirm that Valley Home has a well-earned reputation of providing one of the best K-8 education programs in the State! While these scores are an important indicator of any school’s success, I encourage and support involvement by school community members in activities complementary to the mainstream curriculum. Check out the P/T tab above for opportunities to get involved! We have worked diligently to provide practical and creative class structures (including, at times, ‘combination’ classes) and instructional programs that will help insure that each student’s learning experience at Valley Home will be pleasantly challenging and at the same time not overwhelming. Every 4th - 8th grade student has been provided with a Valley Home School Planner (K - 3rd graders use provided homework folders). It is very important your student regularly attends school, is on time, and always has his/her planner/folder handy while both at school and at home. As parents/guardians, please carefully and regularly check the planners and folders to monitor your student’s assignments and due-dates.
